Dr. Mohammad Aljarrah is an Assistant
professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of
Hashimate University. He received his Bachelor and
Master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Jordan
University of Science and Technology in 2001 and 2003,
respectively. He did his Ph.D. degree in Material Science
at Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department of
Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada which he
finished in 2008. He joined the University of Western
Ontario, London, ON, Canada as a postdoctoral Fellow
where he worked with J.Wood in AUTO 21, Magnesium
Casting Process for two years. After that Dr. Aljarrah
worked with CANMET-Material Technology Laboratory
as a visiting scientist where he searched in Twin Roll
Casting, material development, alloy design and
thermodynamic modeling of Mg based alloys. He joined
Mutah University in 2011 and moved to Hashimate
University in 2012 where he is currently working.
He published many peer-reviewed journals and
conference proceedings in thermodynamic modeling and
experimental investigation of Mg-based alloys. He
published many articles and proceedings in magnesium
casting processes and magnesium sheet. Those
contributions were available to the scientific community
who are interested in my field of research.
Dr. Aljarrah have been involved in numerous
professional and extracurricular activities as well and
achieved significant recognitions as a reward of his
efforts. He is a member of the CIM (The Canadian
Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum) and
Jordanian Engineers Association. Professional Engineers
of Ontario, Magnesium Network (MagNet). Magnesium
Front End Research & Development (MFERD),
AUTO21 Network of Centres of Excellence Postdoctoral
Fellow Association, University of Western Ontario,
BASEF Judge-Professional Engineer Representative.
